Can panic attacks during pregnancy hurt the baby?

October 18th, 2009

I have anxiety disorder which causes me to have panic attacks and I am trying to conceive.. So I was wondering if I had panic attacks while I am pregnant if it could hurt the baby?

i have anxiety and I am currently pregnant.. no harm to baby just might not help trying to conceive with the stress.

I do not think the panic attack will harm the baby, but constant stress isn’t good for the baby.. ask your doctor

I started having panic attackes in the 4th month of my pregnancy, and it cant hurt the baby, but the doctors were concerned about the anxiety turning into depression. All you could do is talk to you doctor and see what they say about it. they will most likley suggest you talk to someone, or put you on meds for it (which i wouldnt take because they were class D during pregnancy)

    Good Luck

this page might help you http://www.geocities.com/spiroll2/pregnant.html
one lady found out taking xanax during her pregnancy outwieghed the risks of her panic attacks (which are something crazy people have cause they fear the smallest things get) and there was only small adverse affects for medicating her anxiety problems and that was at higher doses then usual

well talk to your doctor and find out was is good for you
